Job summary

Tarrant Regional Water District in the United States is seeking an Anode Crew Member to assist full-time staff in data collection, maintaining and modifying the cathodic protection system. You will work with a team on vegetation maintenance, structure inspection and repair, and manual labor across pipelines and facilities.

Requirements include a valid Texas driver’s license, a high school diploma, and mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

Understanding hydraulics on the pipeline.
Ability to read and comprehend map books.
Knowledge of cathodic protection principles.
Mechanically inclined with basic repair skills.
Experience with weed eaters and mowers.
Ability to pull and back up utility trailers.
Experience operating tractors and light equipment.
Ability to grind, cut, or weld as needed.
Welding experience and equipment familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

Maintain, monitor, and install zinc anodes and cathodic protection test stations in the field.
Assist data collection and modify the cathodic protection system.
Operate equipment such as dump trucks, backhoes, tractors, drills, trenchers, and hand tools.
Perform vegetation maintenance, painting, and cleaning on pipelines and facilities.
Build or paint fences and operate chainsaws as required.
Pull and park utility trailers to job sites and manage mower operations.
Pick up trash along ROW or floodway; may supervise day laborers.
Maintain familiarity with district service levels and contribute to continuous improvement.
