Gravity is seeking a Field Technician 1 to deliver and set up rental equipment at customer locations and perform preventive maintenance in the field. You will operate company vehicles, complete basic repairs on gas-powered equipment, and follow safety protocols to ensure high service standards.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, basic mechanical knowledge, and the ability to read and communicate in English.

Qualifications

• Must have basic mechanical knowledge and be able to perform light to moderate repairs.
• Must be able to drive long distances and operate a company vehicle.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English for instructions and safety protocols.
• Must maintain insurability with company insurance.

Description

The Field Technician 1 provides delivery and setup of the Company’s rental equipment to customer locations. Performs preventative maintenance and service on equipment in the field in a safe and efficient manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Works with ethics, honesty, values, and integrity. Provides a position of professionalism to others.
• Delivers, sets up, swaps, and fuels equipment on customer locations.
• Operates Company vehicles pulling trailers and equipment in accordance with policy and safety procedures.
• Completes starting and charging repairs on ICE (internal combustible engine) powered equipment.
• Performs preventative maintenance and service on equipment.
• Uses all electrical tools, safety devices, and equipment in accordance with policy and safety procedures.
• Follows procedures to complete Short Service Employee requirements.
• Completes all required monthly safety and equipment-related trainings.
• Answers Company-issued cell phone during on call hours, in accordance with Company and safety policies.
• Any other duty, responsibility or task as assigned by the supervisor.

Experience

Required

• High School or GED equivalent, some college preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and able to maintain insurability with Company insurance.
• Requires basic mechanical knowledge and experience.
• Must be able to drive long distances/periods in Company vehicle.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds required.
• Requires understanding of basic maintenance concepts needed to perform light to moderate repairs as necessary.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers, customers, and management.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English to the extent verbal and written instructions in English are understood.
