Job summary

Gravity is seeking a Field Technician 1 to deliver and set up rental equipment at customer locations, and perform preventative maintenance and basic service in the field. You will operate company vehicles, swap and fuel equipment, and complete safety procedures to ensure customer satisfaction.

The role requires basic mechanical knowledge, the ability to lift 50 pounds, and a valid driver’s license for long-distance travel. Excellent communication with customers and teammates is essential.

Description

The Field Technician 1 provides delivery and setup of the Company’s rental equipment to customer locations. Performs preventative maintenance and service on equipment in the field in a safe and efficient manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Works with ethics, honesty, values, and integrity. Provides a position of professionalism to others.
• Delivers, sets up, swaps, and fuels equipment on customer locations.
• Operates Company vehicles pulling trailers and equipment in accordance with policy and safety procedures.
• Completes starting and charging repairs on ICE (internal combustible engine) powered equipment.
• Performs preventative maintenance and service on equipment.
• Uses all electrical tools, safety devices, and equipment in accordance with policy and safety procedures.
• Follows procedures to complete Short Service Employee requirements.
• Completes all required monthly safety and equipment-related trainings.
• Answers Company-issued cell phone during on call hours, in accordance with Company and safety policies.
• Any other duty, responsibility or task as assigned by the supervisor.

Experience

• High School or GED equivalent, some college preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and able to maintain insurability with Company insurance.
• Requires basic mechanical knowledge and experience.
• Must be able to drive long distances/periods in Company vehicle.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds required.
• Requires understanding of basic maintenance concepts needed to perform light to moderate repairs as necessary.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers, customers, and management.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English to the extent verbal and written instructions in English are understood.
