• Travel as required, including after hours and cross-border support.

Job description

We are looking for a Field Technician based in Cape Town

Purpose of the position :

1. Report to the client in writing and maintain records of repairs and returns.
2. Prepare, submit, and keep records of warranty claims.
3. Provide telephonic and on-site support for customers.
4. Offer internal sales technical support.
5. Maintain ISO requirements.
6. Commission equipment.
7. Evaluate problems in specific applications where equipment is used.
8. Attend to breakdowns.
9. Travel as required, including after hours and cross-border support.
10. Assist with spare stock control and warehousing.
11. Assist with customer quotes when needed.
12. Perform ad hoc duties as assigned by the Manager.

Skills and Abilities :

1. Qualified Electrician or Technician with N3 or a National Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
2. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Control Systems.
3. Valid driver's license.
4. Knowledge of Control Systems Electronics and/or Pneumatics.

Experience

1. Proficiency in MS Office.
2. Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
