We seek a well-qualified, talented Field Service Technician to perform service, diagnostics, repair, and preventive maintenance on large, high-power rotating electric machinery, motors, and generators during field service visits domestically and internationally. This full-time role is based in Mansfield, Ohio, reporting to the After Market Services Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS
- Work safely and ethically both independently and as part of a team.
- Adhere strictly to safety and security standards and procedures.
- Complete work in compliance with policies and procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service and on-site support skills.
When not traveling:
- Report to the Mansfield, OH plant (preferably).
- Provide technical support via phone, virtual, or in-person as needed.
- Prepare and organize service trips.
- Research and prepare supporting documentation.
- Arrange travel and complete customer-required training/testing.
- Plan service and support operations.
- Complete documentation, reports, and expense reports.
- Perform work across various departments as needed.
When traveling:
- Install and commission equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Provide on-site technical and engineering assistance for proper installation, operation, and maintenance.
- Manage tools and equipment responsibly.
- Provide training on-site, in-house, or virtually.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
- High School Diploma or equivalent; technical education or military experience is a plus.
- 5-10 years of practical experience with large rotating electrical, high voltage, electronic, and mechanical equipment.
- Experience working with customers and vendors in a B2B environment.
- Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and good time management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, project management, and ERP systems.
WORKING CONDITIONS & HOURS
- Daily 8-12 hours; weekly 40-80 hours; overtime as needed, including potential exposure to extreme temperatures and confined spaces.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
- Extensive travel throughout the US and abroad.
REQUIREMENTS & DISCLOSURES
- Valid passport and US driver's license.
- Clean driving record.

- Post-offer physical and ability to lift 50-75 pounds required.
- Ability to climb ladders and scaffolding up to 30 feet.
