Job summary

Transwest Mobile in Austin, TX is seeking a Field Technician to perform advanced maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems, both on-site and in the field.

You will diagnose issues with advanced tools, mentor junior technicians, and uphold safety and quality standards. ASE certifications are preferred; candidates must provide their own hand tools and pass a background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with diesel engines, hydraulic, or electrical systems.
• Advanced knowledge of diagnostic tools and service manuals.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in indoor/outdoor environments.
• Must provide own hand tools for the job.

• Diagnose complex mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and service manuals.

• Operate cranes and specialized equipment to support repair and maintenance tasks.
• Communicate with customers, providing detailed service recommendations and updates.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
• Mentor entry-level technicians and collaborate with teams to improve service delivery.
