Job summary

Transwest Mobile seeks an experienced Diesel Technician to perform complex maintenance on diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems at customer sites across our service areas. You’ll diagnose issues, perform repairs, and keep detailed records while mentoring junior techs.

Join a mobile team that uses cranes and specialized tools, values safety, and delivers top-tier service to fleets, municipalities, and contractors. A valid license, own toolbox, and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with diesel engines, hydraulic, or electrical systems.
• Advanced knowledge of diagnostic tools and service manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure in fast-paced settings.
• Ability to provide own tools suitable for the job.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and farm machinery.
• Diagnose complex mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and service manuals.
• Execute scheduled and unscheduled repairs with minimal supervision, ensuring safety and performance standards.
• Operate cranes and specialized equipment to support repair and maintenance tasks.
• Communicate clearly with customers, providing detailed service recommendations and updates.
• Maintain accurate, detailed records of repairs and maintenance activities.
• Mentor entry-level technicians and collaborate with teams to enhance service delivery.
