You will diagnose issues, install and maintain IT equipment, and handle printers, POS, laptops, desktops, servers, and network gear. The position emphasizes strong troubleshooting, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently or in a team while ensuring documentation

Our client is currently seeking a qualified Field Technician to join their team in Augusta, ME and provide end-user support. Candidates must have reliable transportation, clean MVR, and a valid driver’s license.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software issues
• Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment and related applications
• Repair / install / remove printers, POS, laptops, desktops, servers, network equipment
• Perform preventive and routine maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance
• Provide clear, professional technical support to customers both onsite and via phone
• Maintain accurate service documentation, ensuring compliance with quality and operational standards

Skills and Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of printers (laser and wide format / plotters), computer hardware, and software systems
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve technical issues
• Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to customer service
• Ability to manage multiple tasks independently while also functioning effectively in a team environment
• Must be able to climb ladders and utilize hand tools efficiently
• Physical ability to lift and transport equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.

Wage Range

The rate for this position is between $17.25 - $23.00 per hour, unless local minimum wage is higher. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
