Job Title: Field Technician II
Location: Atlanta, GA
Eligibility: Candidate must be a clearable US Citizen that is able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer support assistance via phone and email in Windows 10/11.
- Perform network administration tasks, including creating new users, assigning rights, resetting passwords in Active Directory, etc.
- Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices – Android, iPhone, or iOS devices.
- Assist with creating processes and methods to gather supply chain data.
- Collect and analyze basic supply chain data to understand where the errors in the supply chain are occurring and what factors may be causing them under close supervision.
- Assist with developing requirements and standards for procurement, delivery packaging and inventory procedures.
- Determine the most cost-effective methods of shipment and schedules.
- Offer logistics support in shipping, procurement, equipment, training, etc., worldwide.
- Follow customer-defined property management procedures.
- Plan preventive maintenance and manage spares, usage, shipping, and history tracking.
- Use customer systems for procurement and travel requests.
- Develop a flexible warranty program and manage the supply chain efficiently to cut costs.
- Maintain an integrated logistics program focused on spare parts and preventive maintenance, with analysis to enhance the management model.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic hardware and software issues.
- Assist the Global Activities logistics manager in preparing desktops, laptops, and servers for shipment to international locations.
- Prepare equipment for shipping.
- Unbox and re-box equipment.
- Install operating systems and required software.
- Encrypt all laptops and update the security database with recovery files.
- Follow written procedures to image and encrypt target computers.
- Provide PC imaging and laptop encryption for the Global Activities refresh.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- IT‑related experience troubleshooting hardware and software, and connectivity issues.
- Partner with other internal and external stakeholders to implement changes and new systems.
- Support the planning and implementation of supply chain optimization projects.
- Maintain current knowledge of supply chain management trends.
- IT helpdesk/user support experience, including 100% telephone support for local & remote customers using Windows 10/Office 365.
- Experience configuring MAC desktops and laptops.
- Experience troubleshooting general networking, wireless, and connectivity problems; and knowledge/experience with remote desktop and VPN (Zscaler).
- Experience troubleshooting printers, desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices such as Android, iPhone, or iOS device, Apple/Mac.
- Knowledge of the ServiceNow ticketing system.
- High school diploma or GED.
- More than one of the certifications below are desired: A+, ITIL, Net+, CHDP, MCP, MCSA.
- Candidate must be able to lift computers and printers weighing up to 50 lbs.
