Field Technical Support Representative III

Job Description

The Field Service Technician will be responsible for providing advanced assistance to customers in the field to diagnose and resolve documented and undocumented service and installation issues. They will support phone and electronic communications, and drive company vehicles to customer locations.

This position serves our Raypak Division in Fort Myers, FL. The role is primarily remote, but candidates should reside near Fort Myers, FL, and be able to attend in-person training and meetings. The role requires being in the field most of the time.

Responsibilities
  • Provide verbal and written technical assistance on product service, installation, repair, and questions for complex projects.
  • Troubleshoot errors, diagnose problems, and initiate repairs (Heat Pumps and Gas).
  • Explain warranty information and arrange for returns for repair or replacement.
  • Use computerized systems for tracking requests, troubleshooting, inventory, and documentation.
  • Follow up to ensure resolution and maintain records.
  • Test and repair products on-site, connect products to power sources, and perform installation and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure equipment is in proper working condition, maintain parts inventory, and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent post-high school training.
  • EPA Certification with refrigerant handling license.
  • 2-4 years of customer service experience in manufacturing or insurance.
  • Excellent communication skills, proficiency in MS Office.
  • Ability to work well in a team, read and interpret technical documents, and solve practical problems.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with HVAC equipment and heat pumps.
  • Strong technical reading and comprehension skills.
  • Ability to support multiple products and prioritize tasks.
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and staggered shifts.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Additional Details
