Job summary

Texas First Rentals (TFR) seeks a Technical Support Specialist to partner with operations and field technicians, delivering advanced diagnostics and training for rental equipment and applications. You will help optimize fleet readiness and support new equipment solutions across branches while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will mentor technicians, review projects, and report on key metrics to leadership, ensuring high customer satisfaction and profitable operations.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of generators, power distribution, A/C, Heater, and Shoring.
• Experience with VFDs, VSDs, soft starts and motor starting.
• Ability to conduct Factory diesel, generator, compressor, and HVAC training.
• Able to read electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics and modify drawings.
• Proficient with computer software, hardware, and machine electronic systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide training, advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and technical support on rental equipment.
• Coordinate technical projects through all phases to completion, ensuring quality and profitability.
• Deliver on-the-job training to develop local technicians and act as a subject matter expert.
• Report project status and metrics to management and resolve issues to meet targets.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to support service, product support, and fleet objectives.
