Working independently but supported by others, the incumbent is the technical representative to our customers for all product maintenance, installation, and repair issues.Position description – Tasks, responsibilities, competenciesIndependently travels nationally and internationally as Maag/Gala’s primary technical representative to the customer.Interacts with customers on a daily basis to provide solutions to issues.Conducts annual follow up calls to all Maag/Gala customers to check up on the customer and Maag machineryParticipates in customer visits to provide support for equipment installation, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair activities. Visit responsibilities include logistical planning, coordination with interagency contacts and the customer, execution of the trip and reporting activities and expenses.Provides training to customers at Maag/Gala’s facility and at the customer’s location.Represents the company and collects customer feedback to facilitate continuous improvement opportunities.Conducts technical discussions regarding machinery repairs, upgrades, and selection to assist customers with a solution to their needs or problems.Collaborates with engineering, manufacturing, parts and equipment sales to develop customer focused solutions.The incumbent considers all interests of quality, accident prevention and occupational safety as well as environmental safety in a preventive manner within his scope of responsibility and supports the avoidance of damage to people, facilities, assets, material and environment actively.The incumbent is obliged to perform tasks requested by management that relate to his position scope or arise from company needs. While performing the duties of this job in a factory setting, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
