Job summary

Northern Technologies International Corporation (NTIC) seeks a Technical Sales Specialist – ZERUST for Louisville, KY with a home-office base. You will drive a multi-state territory across Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia, conducting plant-floor diagnostics and presenting corrosion-control solutions.

This is a hands-on, consultative sales role requiring 50%+ travel, on-site product trials, and collaboration with distributors, engineering, and purchasing to close orders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in chemistry, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, materials science, or related technical field.
• 0–5 years of experience; new graduates welcome.
• Willingness to travel >50% including overnight stays.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Own the Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia sales plan; forecast, quote, and close with direct customers and distributors.
• Diagnose corrosion problems at customer plants and specify the right product solutions.
• Run on-site product trials, corrosion surveys, and document clear recommendations.
• Train distributor sales teams and customer personnel on corrosion fundamentals and correct product use.
• Build relationships with purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, quality, and plant management; provide day-to-day service and issue resolution.
