Job summary

Jersey City Medical Center is seeking an OR Tech III to join the Operating Room team in Jersey City. The role supports surgeons and RNs, scrubbing across robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, trauma, and complex cases.

Requirements include a high school diploma, completion of an OR Technician program, 2–3 years of experience, and NBSTSA certification. BLS via American Heart Association is also required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of OR Technician training program required.
• 2–3 years of experience preferred.
• Must scrub for robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases and trauma.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written).
• Must be able to make calls.
• Flexible, able to multitask and work independently.

Job Overview

Qualifications

• Must have strong knowledge with skill being able to scrub the following service lines: robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases and trauma
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbally and written)
• Must be able to make calls.
• Must be flexible, able to multitask and be able to work independently

Certifications and Licenses Required

• Certified Surgical Technician, required
• NBSTSA Certification, required
• Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification required with American Heart Association
