Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an OR Technician II for Jersey City Medical Center. You will scrub in on robotics, vascular, endovascular, and trauma cases, supporting the surgical team under a registered nurse. Flexibility, multitasking, and independence are required for this full-time day shift.

The role requires an OR Technician program completion, 2–3 years of experience, and NBSTSA certification where applicable. BLS certification is also required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an OR Technician training program.
• 2–3 years of experience.
• Strong knowledge scrubbing service lines: robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases and trauma.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care as part of the surgical team under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Assist the surgeon and RN before, during, and after surgery.

Job Overview

A member of the surgical team, acting under the direction of a Registered Nurse, who works with the surgeon and RN in delivering patient care and assuming appropriate responsibility before, during and after surgery.
