Job summary

Armstrong Fluid Technology is seeking a Technical Support & Field Service Specialist in North Tonawanda, NY. The role involves delivering expert technical support to customers, conducting on-site training, and supporting start-up and commissioning of Armstrong equipment across the region.

Candidates should have HVAC/controls background, building automation knowledge (BACnet/Modbus), and strong problem‑solving skills.

Qualifications

Minimum two-year college diploma in electrical or building controls or HVAC equivalent.
Strong technical aptitude and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
Two years experience with engineering, manufacturing and distribution operations.
Experience on technical support or customer service teams; public speaking is a plus.
Knowledge of centrifugal pumps, heat exchangers, and building automation controls.
Familiarity with BACnet and Modbus; Niagara experience is a plus.
Bilingual ability preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent technical support to customers, end users and sales teams.
Offer on-site or office-based technical assistance and on-site training.
Respond to technical inquiries and provide online or on-site support.
Travel to regional projects to troubleshoot and assist with start-up and commissioning (20% travel).
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and distribution teams to improve products and processes.
Initiate corrective action reports and implement process improvements.
