Job summary

VSC Fire & Security in Memphis, Tennessee seeks an Integrated Systems Service Technician to service fire alarm, security, and camera systems. You will install, test, and repair multiple systems, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with clients on solutions while following safety and NEC/NFPA guidelines.

The role requires 2–3 years of hands-on experience, valid driver’s license, and strong communication. On-call duties and advancement opportunities are included.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years experience servicing fire alarm, security, camera or access control systems.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with strong attention to detail.
• Maintain productivity in the field and meet service schedules.
• Reading plans, documents, meters, and color discernment for safety.
• Must pass background checks and hold a valid state driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and repair fire alarm, security, camera, access control, and related systems.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and false alarms; program and test system operation.
• Consult with clients and provide repair recommendations.
• Use blueprints to determine system installations; run wiring and install hardware.
• Inspect systems and batteries; perform adjustments and repairs as needed.
• Explain system function to end users and ensure NEC/NFPA compliance.
• Be on call as required; assist with form development and inspection docs.
