Job summary

ACRT Pacific seeks a Senior Field Technician to provide field oversight for the Defensible Space program. You will conduct inspections, collect spatial data, and oversee vegetation control near PG&E assets. Strong GIS, data entry, and project management skills are required.

Role involves coordinating with vendors, ensuring safety compliance, and reporting on field conditions. Travel within assigned regions is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Natural Resource Management, Forestry, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5 years' experience in Forestry or Vegetation Management.
• Senior level capability in inspections, data entry, reporting, and project management.
• Strong understanding of forestry and vegetation management; basic GIS knowledge.
• Ability to work with PG&E LPMs with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

• Project setup, implementation, and management.
• Develop scope of work, coordinate with agencies, and obtain vendor pricing.
• Inspect vegetation needs promoting safe access and operation.
• Assess and map trees for removal; identify hazardous conditions.
• Provide onsite supervision of crews and ensure safety compliance.
• Consult with PG&E personnel to resolve environmental or project issues.
• Ensure environmental permits or documents are up to date.
• Oversee pesticide coordination and contractor activities.
• Coordinate with vendors and property owners for access and permit needs.
