South Western Communications is hiring a Technician 1 to install, troubleshoot and maintain electronic communication systems, including VOIP, SIP, and networking tasks. The role supports projects with on-site supervision when the Project Manager is unavailable and requires reading wiring diagrams and using test equipment to ensure optimal performance.

The position is full-time, hourly, non-exempt with full benefits including a 401k, and travel as needed.

Competenze

• Two-year electronics degree or equivalent combination of education and 1+ years related field experience is required.
• Associates Degree in Electronics, IT or Computer Programming; NSCA CEST Certification, NICET certification. RCDD and factory training a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics and blueprints.

Mansioni

• Responsible for the final hookup and programming of electronics equipment for new jobs.
• Responds to customer’s service-related issues promptly.
• Tests and documents readings for customer’s systems.
• Troubleshoots and repairs electronic components.
• Handles on-call duties on a regular scheduled basis.
• Trains and instructs the customer on the proper use of the equipment.
• Operates test equipment: Volt Meter, Ohm Meter, Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, Multi-meter, Impedance Meter.
• Maintains accurate tracking on time sheets, service tickets and inventory items.
