Job summary

Smart Care is seeking a dependable Commercial Kitchen Equipment Service Technician for the Florida Keys. You will travel to customer sites, diagnose and repair cooking, refrigeration, and ware-washing equipment, and document service activities.

We provide hands-on training and support, with opportunities to earn CFESA certifications. Successful candidates have a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and remain willing to learn through ongoing technical training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Mechanical aptitude and interest in troubleshooting and repairing equipment.
• Basic comfort using hand tools, tablets, and mobile technology.
• Dependability and ability to work independently after training.
• Strong customer-service and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and participate in ongoing technical training.
• Ability to participate in an emergency on-call rotation.
• Availability for occasional overnight travel, if assigned.
• Current residence within the Florida Keys.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer locations throughout the Florida Keys to service and repair commercial kitchen equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment such as commercial cooking appliances, refrigeration units, dishwashing and ware-washing equipment, and other foodservice systems.
• Use diagrams, schematics, training resources, and technical support to diagnose equipment issues.
• Communicate with manufacturers and internal technical support teams when assistance is needed.
• Install replacement parts and verify that equipment is operating properly.
• Explain completed repairs and service recommendations clearly and professionally to customers.
• Complete work orders, time records, receipts, and inventory documentation accurately and on time.
• Maintain an organized company service vehicle, including assigned tools and parts.
• Follow all company safety procedures and professional service standards.
• Participate in an emergency on-call rotation that may include nights and weekends.
