Job summary

Pace® Analytical Services in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a Field Technician to support environmental sampling and testing across air, soil, water, and related media. Travel to customer sites and occasional overnight stays are required.

This role involves collecting, processing, and testing samples, preparing vehicles and equipment, and documenting results. You will help maintain logs, assist with program implementation, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to the accuracy of data that

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in related work preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• One year of experience in a laboratory or environmental setting is preferred.
• The ability to travel with some overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer and environmental testing sites.
• Collect, process and test environmental samples, including air, soil, water, and related media.
• Perform field services using standard environmental support practices, including sample collection, test kit completion, and documentation of results.
• Pick up, transport, and deliver samples, documents, materials, and results as required.
• Prepare vehicles for daily field operations, including instruments, supplies, kits, materials, documentation, and safety equipment.
• Complete and maintain logs, forms, databases, and other documentation accurately and timely.
• Assist with research and recommendations to resolve operational, customer, or employee issues.
• Support the review and implementation of field/environmental programs to meet operational and organizational needs.
• Assist with ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations; escalates issues when needed.
• Contribute to team effectiveness by offering suggestions for improvements.
• Promote Pace Analytical’s mission through professional, courteous, and cooperative interactions with customers and coworkers.

What You’ll Bring
