Job summary

Pace® Analytical Services seeks a Field Technician to support environmental sampling and testing across air, soil, water, and related media. You will gain foundational field and environmental knowledge while supporting critical testing programs and customer needs.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in related work preferred or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Ability to travel with some overnight stays.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer and environmental testing sites.
  • Collect, process and test environmental samples (air, soil, water).
  • Perform field services using standard environmental support practices and document results.
  • Pick up, transport, and deliver samples, documents, materials, and results as required.
  • Prepare vehicles for daily field operations, including instruments, supplies, kits, materials, documentation and safety equipment.
  • Complete and maintain logs, forms, databases and other documentation accurately and timely.
  • Assist with research and recommendations to resolve operational, customer, or employee issues.
  • Support the review and implementation of field/environmental programs to meet operational and organizational needs.
  • Assist with ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations; escalate issues when needed.
  • Contribute to team effectiveness by offering suggestions for improvements.
  • Promote PaceAnalytical’s mission through professional, courteous, and cooperative interactions with customers and coworkers.

The salary for this position reflects a variety of factors. Compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s geographic location, relevant experience, education, skills, and alignment with internal equity. What You’ll Bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in related work preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • One year of experience in a laboratory or environmental setting is preferred
  • The ability to travelwith some overnight stays
Licenses and Certifications
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Continued employment is contingent upon maintaining all required licenses and certifications in active status
