Job summary

CB&I is seeking a welder for on-site fabrication and assembly of structural components, tanks, and piping systems. You will interpret blueprints, select materials, and perform welds using multiple processes to join metal parts in accordance with specs.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and prior welding experience. Strong safety awareness and ability to read plans are essential, with opportunities for skill development and career growth at CB&I.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.

Responsibilities

• Selects type and size of pipe or related materials according to specifications.
• Plans layouts, assembly, and welding, applying knowledge of geometry and welding techniques.
• May use GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, SAW or SMAW welding processes as required.
• Lays out, positions, aligns and fits components per drawings and welds accordingly.
• Ensures safety and project rules are followed and assists other mechanics as needed.
