Responsibilities

  • Installing DAS wireless equipment at customer job sites using external and internal antennas, cables, and fiber optic components to NEC standards.
  • Mounting rack, wall, or ceiling DAS components.
  • Connectorizing RF cables and testing installations.
  • Troubleshooting DAS systems, performing RF coverage tests and optimization.
  • Conducting site surveys and documenting work processes.
  • Maintain stock in service vehicles and ensure compliance with company policies.

Job description

This position involves the installation of radio communications and electronics equipment at customer locations. Regular local travel to jobsites. Some will be overnight travel.

Essential Functions

Position is ACTIVE with lifting, pushing/pulling, or carrying 75 - 100% of the time of 75 – 100lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Position requires the use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. Position is primarily preformed in NONCLIMATE CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installing DAS wireless equipment using any combination of external and internal antennas, coaxial cable, CATV cable, fiber optic cable, CAT 5 cable and other appropriate components to NEC standard at customer job sites.
  • Mounting rack wall/ceiling electronic DAS components.
  • Connectorize 50-ohm RF cable and test.
  • Troubleshoot new and existing DAS systems.
  • RF Coverage testing and optimization, pre- and post-construction.
  • RF and Cabling Site surveys.
  • Competence in Computer skills such as IP interfaces to GUI programmable systems.
  • Background and skillset for wiring DC power plants and low voltage circuits.
  • Complete job-related documentation and record keeping.
  • Keep the customer and company informed of progress of installation.
  • Install of fixed network equipment including low voltage hardware equipment.
  • Design and fabricate all special hardware required for custom installs.
  • Maintain an adequate stock and supplies in service vehicles to accomplish field installations in a productive manner.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
