Job summary

The mid-level RF Field Technician will assist with the installation and construction of various DAS systems and Wi-Fi networks, while learning RF concepts and using test equipment.

The role requires 2-year college level education, 3–4 years of construction experience, and willingness to travel up to 50% with some night/weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• 2 year college degree or related coursework; advantage for DAS/construction.
• 3–4 years of construction experience; prior DAS/cellular system exposure preferred.
• OSHA certifications a plus and ability to read cabling diagrams and construction drawings.
• Proficient with tools (drills, saws, torque wrenches, crimpers) and able to use computer apps.

Responsibilities

• Install various coaxial cables of different sizes (1/2", 1/4", 7/8\").
• Install fiber cables and fiber heads (single/multi-mode, LC/SC/FC/ST).
• Perform cable terminations and fusion splicing.
• Conduct testing such as sweep and PIM.
• Work hands-on with spectrum analyzers and transmitters.
• Perform site surveys and in-depth walkthroughs.
• Install and repair DAS equipment from multiple manufacturers.
• Maintain test equipment and tools for continuous use.
• Travel to job sites within the tri-state region and beyond as needed.
