Job summary

Fronius USA, LLC seeks a Technical Support Regional System Engineer to support the sales process with expert knowledge of Fronius welding equipment. This role involves demonstrations, customer site support, and travel across the USA and Europe.

The position requires independent work, field troubleshooting, and collaboration with sales and service teams to fulfill customer needs and ensure seamless installations and upgrades.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Willing and able to travel throughout USA and Europe.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Experience in electrical technology/engineering.
• Welding knowledge/experience a plus.
• Robotic knowledge/experience a plus.
• Proficient with MS Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently or remotely.
• Ability to work on multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Understands Fronius equipment configurations and installation processes.
• Troubleshoots, evaluates, and repairs welding equipment in the field.
• Evaluates client needs for upgrades or up-sells of installations.
• Supports Sales with system configurations to fulfill customer needs.
• Works with clients at their sites providing product guidance.
• Attends presentations and conducts demonstrations as the technical expert.
• Provides system advice via phone/email to customers, distributors and dealers.
• Performs welding system hardware/software installation and integration at client sites.
• Conducts training events for colleagues, distributors, and end clients on new and repeat sales.
• Customizes training documents for clients.
• Participates in trade fairs and provides product guidance at regional/national events.
• Leads or supports product modifications/development.
