Job summary

Gosiger in Dayton, OH seeks an Applications Engineer to provide Swiss CNC turning (and/or drill tap mill) programming expertise to customers. You will design and develop machine programming processes, set up machines, run offs, train operators, and troubleshoot applications to ensure efficiency and equipment utilization.

This safety-sensitive role requires traveling up to 35%, strong documentation skills, and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree or equivalent in manufacturing engineering or related field.
• Experience with Swiss machine tool programming and drill tap mill.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret geometric tolerances.
• Strong business writing and documentation skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 35%.

Responsibilities

• Provide Swiss CNC turning programming and applications support to customers.
• Set up tooling/fixturing, programming, and run-off to optimize cycle times.
• Train customers on machine operations and basic troubleshooting.
• Travel to customer sites as needed for installations and training.
• Document records for machine and programming processes.
• Support sales and service teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Participate in trade shows and company training seminars.
