Job summary

SAM is seeking an entry-level Field Crew member to support boundary, topographic, and construction surveys. You will assist the Crew Chief with equipment setup, data collection, and field notes while working outdoors in varying conditions.

No prior surveying experience is required—an interest in land surveying, construction, or civil engineering helps. Willingness to travel and carry gear is important for success at SAM.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• No prior surveying experience is required—great for entry level.
• Willingness to learn and work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Support field crew with data collection for boundary, topo, and construction surveys.
• Assist Crew Chief in setting up and operating survey equipment.
• Record field notes, measurements, and sketches.
• Load/unload equipment and maintain gear.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies.
• Travel or stay out of town as needed.
