Job summary

Forest Lawn's Architecture & Engineering team seeks a Field Survey Technician to support site surveys, construction layouts, and as-built documentation across memorial parks, under the direction of a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor.

You will gain hands-on experience with GPS/Trimble equipment, field measurements, data export, and safe operation of survey vehicles, contributing to planning and development across multiple properties.

Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of field surveying experience.
High school diploma or GED required.
Valid California Driver's License with required auto insurance.
LSIT certification desired.
Experience with Trimble Total Stations.
Experience with GNSS receivers.
Degree from accredited land surveying or related program desired.
Knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D desired.

Responsibilities

Perform daily field surveying operations around the memorial parks, including site surveys and construction staking.
Operate GPS, Trimble Total Stations, and Auto-levels to measure angles, distances, and elevations.
Maintain accurate field notes and record measurements.
Coordinate with office staff to input information and export collected field data.
Operate survey vehicles and equipment safely.
