Job summary

Forest Lawn Memorial Parks and Mortuaries is seeking a Field Survey Technician to support surveying, development, and construction projects across its memorial parks. You will work under a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor, performing site surveys, construction staking, as‑built documentation, and field measurements to transform data into actionable information guiding planning and development.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
1+ years of field surveying experience.
LSIT certification desired.
Experience with Trimble Total Stations and GNSS receivers.
Knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D desired.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Licensed Professional Land Surveyor, perform daily field surveying operations around the memorial parks, including detailed site surveys, construction staking, and as‑builting.
Operate GPS, Trimble Total Stations, and Auto-levels to measure angles, distances, and elevations.
Perform field calculations and measurements.
Coordinate with office staff to input information and export collected field data.
Maintain accurate field notes, record measurements, and documentation.
Operate survey vehicles and equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
Communicate effectively with project team and field personnel.
