Job summary

CESO is seeking a Field Survey Technician I to assist Crew Chiefs with land surveys, data collection, and construction staking. You will transport, set up, and operate surveying instruments at diverse project sites, while learning to read maps and stake-out sheets.

The role involves recording data, maintaining accuracy, and supporting boundary and topographic surveys. A valid driver’s license and basic field experience are preferred, with training and development opportunities provided.

Qualifications

• Must have basic knowledge of survey field data collection.
• Ability to read maps, plans, and stake-out sheets.

Responsibilities

• Transport and set up surveying instruments and equipment at job sites.
• Train on and operate survey equipment including total stations, GPS, data collectors, levels, and scanners.
• Assist with field data collection for boundary, topographic, and construction surveys.
• Record measurements accurately using field techniques and log data daily.
• Coordinate with Crew Chiefs and support project tasks as needed.
