Job summary

SAM is seeking helpers for field surveying tasks in Midland, TX. You will support boundary, topographic, and construction surveys using robotic total stations, GNSS receivers, scanners, and levels, under supervision. This role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

  • Experience in land surveying practices and basic surveys.
  • Basic understanding of mathematical computations and field operations.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Use land surveying instruments to support a field crew in boundary, topographic, and construction surveys
  • Assist in field surveys under supervision and communicate progress
  • Operate land survey equipment: total stations, GNSS, data radios, 3D scanners, levels
  • Collect geospatial data and perform survey computations
  • Read and interpret maps and plans
  • Record neat field notes with accurate measurements
  • Load/unload trucks with survey equipment and supplies
  • Clean and maintain survey equipment, tools, and vehicle
  • Follow company safety procedures and practices

Skills

One year industry experience
Able to work outdoors
Willing to travel

Education

High School diploma or equivalent
