Job summary

Surveying And Mapping, LLC (SAM) is hiring for a field crew member to support data collection for boundary, topographic, and construction surveys. You will assist the Crew Chief, operate survey equipment, and maintain precise field notes. Outdoor work year-round in varying weather is required, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company MVR standards.
• Previous industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support field crew with data collection for boundary, topographic, and construction surveys.
• Assist in completion of field surveys under supervision of Crew Chief; communicate progress.
• Operate land survey equipment including robotic total stations, GNSS receivers, data radios/modems, terrestrial 3D laser scanners, levels.
• Use survey controllers and software to collect geospatial data and perform computations.
• Read and interpret various maps and plans; maintain neat field notes with measurements.
• Assist with loading/unloading trucks and maintaining equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies.
