Job summary

Loenbro is seeking a detail-oriented Survey Technician to support mission-critical construction projects, including hyperscale data centers and advanced facilities. You will perform field surveying, layout verification, quality control measurements, and construction staking using Trimble systems.

You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, BIM/VDC teams, and craft professionals to ensure accurate layout and documentation throughout all phases of construction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Geomatics, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of construction surveying experience.
• Experience with large-scale commercial/industrial projects preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction staking and layout for foundations and building components.
• Operate Trimble total stations and GNSS/GPS equipment on job sites.
• Process field data using Trimble software packages (TBC, Siteworks, Access).
• Verify as-built conditions and maintain survey quality control.
• Collaborate with project managers and field teams to resolve layout issues.
• Generate survey reports, field notes, and as-built deliverables.
• Assist with reality capture using laser scanning and drone mapping when applicable.
