Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson, Inc. seeks a Party Chief- Field Surveys to join our Richmond, Virginia team. You will lead a land survey crew, collect data, and support boundary, topographic, and construction stake-out projects under a Licensed Land Surveyor.

Responsibilities include preparing field notes, reviewing project specs, and assisting with plat/map production using source data such as surveys, aerial photography, and maps. Travel and night shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of surveying field experience and ability to lead a crew.
• Experience with Total Stations, data collectors and GPS receivers.
• Ability to review plans and assist in field calculations.
• Must pass JMT motor vehicle screening and have a valid driver's license.
• Background check passed required.

Responsibilities

• Lead field crew in boundary, topographic, and construction stake-out surveys.
• Collect, document, and manage field data and notes.
• Verify accuracy of plats/maps and assist in calculations.
• Coordinate with project managers and technicians.
