Job summary

LHH is seeking a Survey Crew Chief in the Richmond, Virginia area to lead a small field crew and oversee land surveying activities. The role combines hands-on fieldwork with supervision of 3–5 team members on a variety of infrastructure projects.

You will coordinate daily field operations, ensure safety and accuracy, and communicate with project managers and office staff. Travel within the Richmond area and occasional Saturdays are possible as part of a dynamic, growing organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of surveying experience preferred.
• Previous Survey Crew Chief / Party Chief experience strongly preferred.
• Strong field leadership and crew-management skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Comfortable working outdoors and on challenging terrain.
• Ability to travel throughout the Richmond area as needed.
• Willingness to work a typical 5-day schedule with occasional Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a survey crew of approximately 3–5 team members.
• Perform and oversee land surveying activities in the field.
• Coordinate daily field operations and ensure work is completed accurately and safely.
• Work on a variety of surveying and infrastructure projects.
