Job summary

CORPORATE ENVIRONMENTAL RISK MANAGEMENT, L.L.C. is seeking a Survey Crew Chief to lead field teams in land and construction surveying, ensuring accurate data and adherence to plans.

You’ll coordinate with project managers, engineers, and field staff to deliver topographic, boundary, and staking surveys across multiple sites. The role requires five years of surveying experience, strong leadership, and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble, and GPS tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with formal surveying training or certification.
• Minimum 5 years in land or construction surveying with leadership responsibilities.
• Proficient in surveying instruments and software listed in tools.
• Strong understanding of surveying principles and construction terminology.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise survey crews in field operations (topographic, boundary, staking).
• Plan daily work, assign tasks, and maintain equipment.
• Interpret plans and legal descriptions to guide work.
• Collect and verify survey data with safety and quality standards.
• Coordinate with project managers and engineers to report progress.
• Train and mentor junior surveyors to maintain high performance.
• Prepare detailed field notes and documentation for compliance.
