Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Survey Intern to gain hands-on experience in both the field and the office, developing core surveying skills that support a future full-time career. You will participate in project surveying plans, maintain field records, learn data processing software, and assist the team across transportation and civil work assignments with travel as needed.

This internship runs May–August with travel and relocation as required, offering exposure to safety procedures and real project

Qualifications

• Ability to travel and relocate initially and throughout your career as business requires
• Ability to work full-time during the summer (approximately May-August)
• Currently pursuing a degree in surveying or related field
• Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in a wide‑ranging climates and environments
• Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time
• Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity
• Passion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurt
• Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals and objectives

Responsibilities

• Follow the project survey plan specific to field operations.
• Maintain accurate records and field procedures for efficiency.
• Utilize software to process field data.

• Take accurate and legible field notes.
• Perform setting and maintenance of the control network.
• Communicate with the project surveying team.
