Job summary

Kiewit is offering a Survey Intern position that provides hands-on learning in both the field and the office, directly relating to the skills needed for a full-time surveying career. You will develop, participate, and learn key roles and functions within surveying.

The Central District project teams give you the chance to work on large infrastructure projects, with travel to multiple sites across the Rockies to the Mississippi and beyond.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in surveying or a related field.
• Willing to travel and relocate as needed.
• Available to work full-time during the summer (May–August).
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and ethics.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Follow the project survey plan specific to field operations.
• Maintain accurate record keeping and survey audits.
• Utilize software to process field data.
• Follow proper field safety procedures.
• Take accurate field notes and set up control network.
• Communicate with the project surveying team.
