Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Survey Instrument Operator to support field operations in a hands-on role. You will operate surveying instruments, collect data, and assist the Party Chief while coordinating with clients and office staff.

The position requires a High School Diploma/GED and 1+ year experience with data collectors, GPS, and total stations. Travel to field sites and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year experience using data collectors and total stations (robotic and non-robotic).
• Experience in land surveying and with GDOT is preferred.
• Must possess valid driver's license and be insurable.
• Willing to train candidates without noted experience.

Responsibilities

• Collect data using company standards for descriptions and line coding.
• Assist Party Chief in running field operations.
• Operate and maintain surveying instruments (transits, level, theodolite, EDM).
• Coordinate with office staff and clients as needed.
• Adhere to survey regulations and company procedures.
• Monitor daily timesheets, reports, and vehicle inspections.
• Perform calculations to locate reference points and interpret maps/blueprints.
