Job summary

Bowman Consulting in Indianapolis, IN, seeks a Survey Instrument Operator II to join our field team. You will operate survey instruments (Total Station, GPS, data-collector), perform boundary and topography surveys, and support the crew with data collection, calculations, and calibration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; commensurate relevant experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Operate survey instruments and perform surveys as directed by management.
• Lead field activities under supervision and assist the supervisor with daily crew workload.
• Perform boundary, topography, ALTA, right-of-way, and construction surveys for clients.
• Set up and operate survey equipment and perform calculations.
• Maintain equipment and assist in training junior staff.
• Ensure safety and compliance with regulations on site.
