Job summary

Schnackel Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Field Survey Engineer to document conditions for architectural projects across multiple sites in the USA. The role supports plumbing, mechanical, and electrical design work and requires hands-on measurement and reporting.

You will coordinate with clients and design teams, travel three to four days per week, and document survey results with accuracy while learning applicable codes. Strong communication and independence are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to communicate clearly and prioritize tasks.
• Ability to work independently with direction as needed.
• Experience in field survey tasks with MEP/FP teams.

Responsibilities

• Document existing conditions for plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and fire protection systems.
• Learn and apply relevant building codes to projects.
• Document, describe, and measure items above ceilings and rooftops.
• Coordinate with client and design teams to ensure a fully coordinated interdisciplinary design.
