Job summary

Schnackel Engineers, Inc. is an Omaha-based firm seeking a Field Coordinator to join our team. This role requires traveling to project sites across the US and Canada to perform initial site assessments and construction observation during the build phase.

The ideal candidate has a technical background in Architectural Engineering Technology and 3+ years of field experience in construction, along with strong client service, teamwork, and proficiency in AutoCAD, BlueBeam, and MS Office.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 year Associates Degree in Architectural Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 3 or more years of field experience in the construction industry.
  • Strong client service and teamwork skills are essential.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, BlueBeam, Adobe PDF and MS Office is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to project sites throughout the US and Canada for initial site assessments.
  • Perform construction observation visits during the construction phase.
  • Communicate with clients and design/construction teams to ensure quality service.

Working under the direction of the Senior Vice President of Operations and the Field Operations Coordinator you will travel to project sites throughout the US and Canada on initial site assessment visits, as well as to perform construction observation visits during the Construction phase. The Field Coordinator must have a good practical knowledge of Architectural Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing construction techniques, and be able to identify all key components of MEP building systems.

The team member must possess high-level communication skills to converse with clients and design/construction team members.
