Job summary

GRA Design Studio seeks an adaptable architectural professional to lead field surveys, coordinate travel, and serve as the first on-site contact for multiple projects. You will gather MEP data, document conditions, and relay findings to project teams across studios.

The role emphasizes travel, field autonomy, and direct client interaction, with opportunities to expand skills in advanced surveying tools and drone-assisted data collection.

Qualifications

• Experience with surveying techniques and field documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable acting as client-facing representative of the firm.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive extensively.
• Ability to travel frequently and be away from home when projects require.
• Physically capable of fieldwork, incl. walking, climbing, standing.
• Strong organizational skills and field judgment.
• Willingness to learn specialized survey tools; Revit/CAD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Frequent travel via personal vehicle, rentals, and flights.
• Serve as first field contact for site visits and surveys.
• Coordinate with clients, brokers, and landlords for scheduling and access.
• Book travel logistics and maintain trip records.
• Conduct on-site surveys using Matterport, Faro, and drone equipment.
• Document conditions via notes, sketches, and measurements.
• Process field data for studio integration and deliver daily updates.
• Collaborate across project teams and disciplines.
