SAM, a nationwide leader in geospatial and construction-phase solutions, seeks an experienced land survey crew chief to lead daily field operations across boundary, topographic, and construction layout surveys. You will plan data collection, read plans, and coordinate with PMs and engineers while ensuring safety and accuracy.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in surveying, proficiency with Trimble tools, and a willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry experience; prior crew chief experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet MVR standards.
• Experience operating Trimble equipment and surveying instruments.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to travel and stay out of town as needed.

Responsabilités

• Supervise a land survey crew for daily field operations (boundary, topographic, construction layout).
• Determine most efficient data acquisition plan for field surveys.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and project specifications.
• Communicate daily with project managers, engineers, and technicians about schedule and progress.
• Interact professionally with clients and landowners.
• Collect and document survey data, notes, sketches, and communications.
• Prepare daily reports, time sheets, and required paperwork.
• Maintain survey vehicles and field equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies.
• Handle other duties as assigned.
