Professional Engineering Consultants Limited. seeks a Crew Chief to lead the survey crew in field surveys, control surveys, boundary, and topographic tasks, ensuring data quality and safety.

You will manage field crews, equipment, and schedules, review field notes, process data, and deliver maps, plans, and reports while coordinating with clients and project managers on site.

This demanding role requires travel up to 20% and the ability to work long hours in varied outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years of land surveying experience.
• Proficient with surveying instruments (Total Stations, GPS, Levels) and software (AutoCAD, Trimble Business Center).
• Strong knowledge of surveying principles, techniques, and procedures.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• P.S. or L.S.I.T. preferred but not required.

Responsabilités

• Plan, organize, and lead the survey crew in field surveys.
• Ensure accurate data collection using surveying instruments.
• Supervise establishment of control points and benchmarks.
• Maintain and manage survey equipment and vehicles.
• Prepare and verify mathematical calculations of angles, distances, elevations.
• Prepare, review and maintain job sheets and field notes.
• Coordinate with clients and project managers on site.
• Train and mentor survey crew members.
