Colliers Engineering & Design in Hamilton, OH is seeking an energetic Crew Chief for our Survey/Geospatial team. You will lead field crews, plan surveys, and ensure data quality using advanced equipment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years field survey experience and at least 2+ year as Crew Chief or equivalent.
• Proficient with data collectors, data collection techniques, robotic instruments, field note-keeping, total stations and leveling.
• Experience with civil surveying and construction staking required.
• Experience with or ability to learn 3D scanners.
• Self-starter with minimal supervision once assigned.
• Must be able to work in inclement weather.
• Willingness to travel.
• Valid driver''s license and clean driving record; MVR will be checked.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform advanced field surveys within project scope and budget.
• Interact with project site supervisors and client field representatives.
• Prepare accurate, detailed field notes and reports daily.
• Perform in-field calculations for stakeout and land surveys.
• Review health and safety checklists and instruct on hazards and PPE.
• Maintain, transport, and operate surveying instruments and equipment.
• Operate survey vehicle per company vehicle manual.
• Mentor and train junior field staff.
