Job summary

KLJ is seeking a Survey Crew Chief I to lead field survey efforts for infrastructure projects in the Sioux Falls region. You will perform boundary, topographic, as-built, subdivision, and profile surveys, collect and analyze deeds and utility data, and operate survey equipment to gather precise field measurements.

You will prepare field notes and reports, assist with mapping legal boundaries, and collaborate with engineers and clients to ensure project delivery meets plans and standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Support surveying activities to ensure plans and specs are followed.
• Collect, analyze field data for design and construction projects.
• Operate survey equipment to gather accurate measurements.
• Prepare field notes, calculations, sketches, and reports.
• Assist with mapping boundaries and documenting site conditions.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, PMs, and clients.
• Verify data accuracy and regulatory compliance.
