Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of surveying experience.
• Knowledge of easements, rights-of-way, plats, boundary surveys, property descriptions, and GPS surveys.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and field conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform boundary, topographic, as-built, subdivision, and profile surveys.
• Collect, research, and analyze deeds, property records, utility information, and survey data.
• Operate survey equipment and technology to gather field measurements.
• Prepare field notes, calculations, sketches, reports, and survey documentation.
• Assist with mapping legal boundaries and documenting existing site conditions.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, project managers, and clients to support project delivery.
• Verify data accuracy and ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
• Maintain a strong commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

As a Survey Crew Chief I, you will support surveying activities that help ensure construction projects comply with plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements. You'll work on a variety of projects while collecting and analyzing information used to design, construct, and maintain critical infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include:

• Performing boundary, topographic, as-built, subdivision, and profile surveys.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree in Surveying, Geospatial Technology, or a related field.
• Experience with public and private sector projects.
