Job summary

Frey Consulting Group, based in Des Moines, IA, is seeking a Survey Crew Chief to join our growing engineering team. The role involves performing fieldwork for topographic, boundary, ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys, plats, and construction staking, and documenting field notes.

You will operate GPS, total stations, and data collectors, transfer files to internal project folders, and communicate project status to office teams while maintaining strong client and coworker relationships.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of survey experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform fieldwork for Topographic Surveys, Boundary Surveys, ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys, Plat of Surveys and Construction Staking.
• Document field notes.
• Operate GPS, total stations, and data collectors.
• Transfer files between data collectors and internal company project folders.
• Provide communication to the office teams regarding project status, daily progress, and arising issues.
• Maintain productive working relationships with clients and coworkers.
